We often get asked what comes first – the quotes, pictures or the music?
It all depends. If we come across a quote we love, we’ll keep it in a folder ready to match with pictures or music. Likewise with the images. Creating or sourcing our visuals to match with the quotes or words can take a long time.
Usually writing the music comes last to shape itself around the other content. Other times we get an idea for a subject theme and do research for our quotations and start composing musical ideas to suit the mood. So it really varies from one toneQuote to another!
A toneQuote will usually take at least a few days to make, if not a week or so – researching the quotations, illustrating or manipulating the images by hand, creating the animations, composing the music then finally matching everything up. Did I say it takes ages? 🙂 Oh, and glitches… plenty, but they usually sort themselves out.
It is a rewarding journey, especially toward the end when all the various elements come together. Then there’s usually a few tweaks required here and there and it’s ready to upload. Exhausting but gratifying – and no AI involved to boot!
